Itineraries

At Tribhuvan International Airport, our company representative will warmly welcome you to Nepal. He/she will accompany you to your hotel. After refreshments, you are briefed about the trip. You can choose to explore the city and prepare for the trek for the rest of the day.

After breakfast, you catch a ride to Sybrubensi from Kathmandu. En route, you can see amazing views of the hills and can also catch a glimpse of Ganesh Himal (7422m) and Manaslu (8163m) if the weather is clear. Sybrubensi is the gateway for the trips into the Langtang Valley. Here, you can rest and explore the local settlements.

Today, you start to trek to the destination, Lama Hotel. First, you walk along the Bhote Koshi River and after crossing it, you trek along Langtang River. Then you come across a suspension bridge that takes you to Bamboo. After resting there, you continue the trail ascends through a thick forest and reaches Rimche where Lama Hotel is located. 

After breakfast, you hit the trail that gently ascends and later takes a steep slope. En route, you can observe the Langtang Lirung (7227m) and share glances of other peaks in the Langtang range. Once you reach the meadows at Ghodatabela, you can clearly see the mountain range. Trekking further, you gradually gain altitude to reach the Langtang Village.

The trail today is filled with prayer flags, Mani walls, and water mills. After breakfast, you head to one of the landmarks of Langtang Valley, Kyanjin Gompa a Buddhist monastery. The trail is short and relatively easy. Once you reach there, you explore the monastery and visit the cheese factory as well. The monastery is also associated with the history of the inhabitants of the Kyanjin Village and the influence of Tibetan-Buddhism in Langtang Valley.

After breakfast, you take a short hike to see another famous landmark, Tserko Ri Peak (4984m). From here, you can witness the panoramic Himalayan views of the beautiful Langtang Lirung (7227m), Dorje Lakpa (6966m), Yala Peak (5500m), and other mountains in the Langtang and Yubra ranges as well. You can also see the amazing view of Langtang Glacier and the glacial moraines. After enjoying the view, you head back to Kyanjin Gompa and trek alongside the Langtang River to reach Lama Hotel.

This is the last day of trekking. After breakfast, you head back to the trail that descends to Sybrubensi. Along the way, enjoy the mountain terrain for the last time. The trek also explores the rhododendron and magnolia forests of the Langtang National Park as you return to Sybrubensi. At Sybrubensi, you can celebrate the end of a glorious adventure in the shadows of the Langtang Himalayas.

After having breakfast, you head back to Kathmandu via road. Upon reaching your hotel and refreshing, you can opt to do some shopping in your free time. There are plenty of other ways to spend your final day in Kathmandu. Sightseeing tour to the UNESCO world heritage sites like Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, and Boudhanath is one of the best ways to spend the day.

The trip ends with your departure back home. Our representative makes sure that no personal belongings are misplaced and takes you to the airport according to your scheduled flight. We wish you a safe flight back home.

Langtang region offers wide choices of trekking options ranging from 3 days to 3 weeks. However, the two major routes are:

Langtang Gosainkunda, Helambu route: It is a moderate level trek route that starts from Kathmandu and ventures towards Sybrubensi. Furthermore, the trek will lead you towards the Kyangin Gompa (a major landmark) and then to GosainkundaLake at 4480 meters. Afterward, we will trek down towards Ghopte, Gul Bhanjyang, Chisapani and then back to Sundarijal. 

Langtang Ganja La trek route: It is also a moderate level trek route that starts from Sybrubensi. The route goes all the way through a Langtang village, Kyanjin Gompa and up towards the Ganja La pass at 5130 meters. From there, we trek down Tarkeghyang, Sermathang, and Melamchi bazar and finally back to the Kathmandu

Autumn (September-November), is regarded as the best season for the trekking in Nepal. The season allows you to experience the beautiful mountains, green hills. Also, the weather is clear with mild to warm days and cold nights. Similarly,spring (March-May) is another the good season for this trek. During this season, you can see the beautiful wildflowers blooming in the jungle,luscious greenery, and sparkling mountains in an excellent background.

Altitude Sickness, also known as AcuteMountain Sickness, is a major issue amongst the trekkers. The Langtang region is located at an extremely high altitude and the trek maytake you upto the height of 5000 meters. Due to this, trekkers are highly susceptible to AMS. AMS is a very common sickness and usual symptoms may include dizziness, muscle ache, nausea, headache, vomiting and many more. Similarly, HAPE (High Altitude Pulmonary Edema) And HACE (High Altitude Cerebral Edema) are the extreme forms of AMS which are life-threatening and must be treated in time.

Trekkers must always be cautious regarding the symptoms of altitude sickness and immediately inform the trek leader if the symptoms do appear.

Most of the places in Langtang have solar-generatedpower or hydroelectricity. So, if you want to charge your camera, cell phone or battery, you can easily get those services. However, you might have to pay an extra sum of money in some cases. On the other hand, it’s safe to carry backups and portable chargers with you.Nonetheless,there are a fewplaces where you can find a reliable internet connection. So, you must buy a Sim Card if you are to trek in the Langtang region.
