You can either fly to Pokhara or then drive to Beni from Pokhara. Or, if you wish, you can drive to Beni from Kathmandu via Pokhara which takes about 8-9 hours. The drive passes through the mountains along the banks of Trishuli and Marsyangdi River to Pokhara. Drive further from Pokhara deeper into the mountains with the magnificent views of Annapurna Himalayas. Driving further along the banks of Mardi River, we continue to Beni.

Our real trek begins from today, and we continue trekking along the Kali Gandaki River. Then, we head towards Myandi Khola and cross the suspension bridges. Press by the villages of Mangalghat, Singa, Tatopani, and finally reaching at Babichaur.

The destination for today will be Dharapani and the Dhaulagiri is no more so far. Our trail today will cross the terraced hills and Shahanshadhara village then reaches Dharapani and spend a night there.

The path goes steep up to Muri 1850m, where the Mount Dhaulagiri and other mountains appear clearly. From Muri, enjoy the magnificent views of Mount Dhaulagiri and others.

From Muri, the trail is easy and goes down for few hours but before to reach Boghara, you have to climb a steep path for a couple of hours. The trail descends down before reaching Phedi and then the ascends up until Boghara.

Today the path is quite difficult and sometimes you will need the help of ropes. The trail descends down to a small ridge then crosses forest to Jyardan. Finally, cross the rocky part to arrive at Doban.

Today, you will reach the Italian Base Camp where you will just in front of the west wall of Dhaulagiri. Passing through the beautiful forest, we rapidly gain altitude and mountains burst out all around. Since, we are rapidly gaining altitude, keep yourself hydrated and take it easy.

Today will be a rest day for acclimatization. Since there is little exploring to be had, this is the day to relax because tomorrow we will have a tough day. Move around and hike around some places and properly acclimatize with the altitude.

After crossing the first glacier, probably using a rope in a couple of tricky spots, we climb onto the main glacier. The surroundings are spectacular which makes up for the rough and dangerous trail. The glacier crossing would require the use of rope.

Today, we reach the Dhaulagiri Base Camp. Sooner, the rough rubble gives you the way to some smooth ice of the white part of glacier. We climb steadily to the rough and chilling but spectacular Dhaulagiri Base Camp. On the way, enjoy the magnificent north face of Dhaulagiri I.

We will be constantly trek at the altitude of 5000-6000m in the next days. So, this day is essential for acclimatization. Even when we are acclimatizing, health experts recommend us to stay active and moving during the rest day too instead of being idle.

Hidden Valley getting off the glacier above the base camp often requires a rope, but once over the steep moraine walls, we are in the safer and gentler country after a breathless climb to the top of French Col.

Make some rest, acclimatize and explore the surrounding peaks.

After climbing over the Dhampus pass, we traverse avalanche prone slopes and then descend steeply to Yak Kharka. Then the trail descends down until we reach at Yak Kharka.

Today, the more steep descent leads us to Marpha and a well-deserved beer over lunch. Tackling along the cairns, we then proceed along the snowy path. After a few hours of walking in the snow, we pass the top of the Thapa Pass. From Marpha, we further head towards Jomsom to catch our next day’s flight to Pokhara.

After the morning breakfast, we check in the airport to fly back to Pokhara. After a 30 minutes dramatic flight, we reach at Pokhara, where we can explore around in the remaining time. We will start our sightseeing of Devi’s Falls, Gupteswor Cave, International Mountain Museum, Seti Gorge, and boating in the Fewa Lake.

Today, after breakfast, we make a drive to Kathmandu from Pokhara. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to hotel and in the evening time, you will enjoy our farewell dinner.

A Cold Feet representative will accompany you to the airport to catch your returning flight. We hope to see you again soon!
