Itineraries

Upon arriving in Kathmandu (Tribhuvan International Airport), a Cold Feet representative will meet you and help you transfer to your hotel by private bus. Enjoy a free evening to explore Kathmandu and recover from your jet-lag. Meet the Cold Feet staff during a short pre-tour briefing before dinner.

A full-day guided tour around Kathmandu city's historical and cultural landmarks. Visit Bouddhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple, the most important sites of Buddhism and Hinduism in Nepal. Catch the playful antics of the monkeys and beautiful city views at Swayambunath temple. Get lost in Kathmandu's old city bazaars, public squares, and former royal palaces at Durbar Square.

Today, we will catch our morning flight to Lhasa from TIA. You will be flying over the majestic Himalayan Mountains. A representative from Coldfeet will be waiting for you in the Lhasa Airport. And on your arrival, he will welcome you to Lhasa and then check into the hotel. Well, Lhasa is located on the north bank of Kyi-chu River. In the remaining time, you must take rest. We will stay overnight at hotel. 
 

Today, after taking our morning breakfast, you will visit Potala Palace, Norbulingka and Ramoche Monastery. Well, the Potala Palace was built in 637 AD and erstwhile the home of Dalai Lama, which is atop single hill by Tibetan King Songtsen Gompo. Likely, Norbulingka is the erstwhile summer palace of Dalai Lama which means Jewel Park and also cited as World Heritage Site. Norbunlingka covers an area of around 360,000 square meters making it the largest manmade garden in Tibet. We will stay overnight at hotel in Lhasa.
 

Well, this will be the second day of your Lhasa sightseeing. Today, after having breakfast in the morning, we will visit Sera Monastery, Barkhor Market and Jokhang Monastery. Actually, Sera Monastery is just 5 kilometers north of Lhasa and is one of the prettiest monasteries of Lhasa. In fact, Sera Monastery, once upon a time sheltered a community of more than 5000 monnks. Likely, Jokhang Monastery is situated in the heart of Old Lhasa. We will stay overnight at hotel in Lhasa.
 

Today, we will drive from Lhasa to Gyantse which is about 261 kilometers distance and it takes approx. 7 hours via Kamba La (4794m) and Karo La (5010m) passes via with the Lake Yamadroke-Tso. We will stay overnight at Gyantse.

Today, we will be exploring the areas around Gyantse. We will visit Khumbum Stupa & Phalkor Monastery at Gyantse. We then will drive from Gyantse to Xigatse (3900m) which is 90 kilometers distance and it takes about 2 hours to drive. We will be visiting the Tibetan countryside and culture. We will stay overnight at Gyantse. 

Today, we will drive from Gyantse to Tsedang (3400m) which is 29 kilometers far from Gyantse and it takes approx. 1 hour’s drive. We will be enjoying a full day picturesque drive crossing over Karola (5010m), Yamdruk Lake and Kambala (4794m). We will be continuing our drive along the Tibetan lifeline river Bramhaputra on to Tseding. We will stay overnight at Tsedang.   

This day, we will drive from Tsedang to Samye. Well, Samye is 80 kilometers far from Tsedang and it takes approx. 2 hours’ drive. We will be passing along the other side of Bramhaputra River and visit Samye Monastery which is an 8th century 1st Buddhist Monastery in Tibet. In the evening, we will drive back to Tsedang and visit Yumbulakhang and Thandruk Monastery. We will stay overnight at hotel. 

Well, we will driver from hotel to the Lhasa Airport early in the morning. And we will catch our flight to Kathmandu. Enjoying the wonderful Himalayan views, you will reach Kathmandu. In the remaining time, you can explore the city or go for your last minute shopping. We will enjoy the farewell dinner in the evening. 

A Cold Feet representative will accompany you to the airport to catch your returning flight. We hope to see you again soon!
