Kathmandu Day Tours

Kathmandu Day Tour is an important trekking where visitors can sightsee around the wonderful capital city of Kathmandu. Kathmandu has its own space in terms of Nepal trekking. Kathmandu is so rich in old cultures, traditions and the handicraft and sculpture work that every trekking package in Nepal starts with a day of Kathmandu sightseeing. Kathmandu Day Tour starts from Thamel—the tourist hub in Kathmandu-- especially from the Garden of Dreams. As you move inside the Garden of Dreams you will feel exactly as you are entering into a dream land where you can observe outstanding gardens with beautiful flowers blooming all around, cascade, and dew pond along with a fabulous café. As you do not want any body’s interference into your dream land you will find peace- peace and only peace. Another advantage of being in the Garden of Dreams is you can have a quick glance over the Kaiser Library and gain some historical knowledge and insight into Nepal’s immediate past.
Continuing the journey you will march to the Durbarg Marg basically for the Narayanhiti Palace which was turned into a museum few years ago. Visiting the museum means you are acquiring historical information as well as gathering information by viewing the lifestyles of former Royal families and stories regarding their bravery which were sufficient to create the history. The streets of Durbarg Marg is very famous and elite where you can have a look over those upto date fashion related clothes with lavish malls and the KFC in case you want to get connect globally. Overall, you will encounter Durbar Marg as the setting of Westerner with local touch.
Leaving behind Durbarg Marg, you are now all set to enter into the heart of Kathmandu. Some of the major tourists’ attention grabbing spots are Taleju, Kal Bhairav, Jaganath, Kumari, Kasthamandap and Kathmandu Durbar Square has their own account. These are the most happening places of Kathmandu and you will love to view different sorts of activities. From there you will be visiting Swayambhunath Stupa which is perched in a hilltop towards the west of Kathmandu city. Though Swyambhunath is a holy place for all the Buddhist pilgrims, it is also equally worshipped by Hindu pilgrims. Swyambhunath Stupa is considered as the oldest Stupa in Nepal as it was built around 2000 years ago. An interesting thing which is connected with religious belief is the eyes on each sides of Stupa which is believed as the symbol of God’s eye looking from all the direction and overseeing activities that are happening in Earth. Similarly, the third eye of Swyambhunath Stupa indicates wisdom. You can even visit Manjusri of Saraswati who is worshipped as a divinity of wisdom and is situated at the back of hilltop.

I have made a trip to Helambu circuit with Cold Feet in March 2009 and had a great time. Our Guide Suman did fantastic job. I will recommend Cold Feet to any of my friends and family who are traveling to Nepal.Tom Manzo Tucson Arizona

November 2013 - I just returned from the most amazing trek to Annapurna Base Camp with ColdFeet! Gopi and his staff were so helpful before I even arrived in Nepal and continue to be during my stay in this amazing country! Sunaina was an awesome, fun and caring guide. I would highly recommend ColdFeet to anyone looking for tours/treks in the Nepal area!jackie o. CANADA

Hey We just came back from a trip to langtang. Organization was very efficient, we planned the trip in two days and just went right away to Langtang! Beautiful place to see, good accommodation and very friendly guide, thanks Coldfeet!Nicolas Lacombe FRANCE

Great trek to Gosainkund lake arranged at short notice by Cold Feet, followed by rafting and cultural visits. We turned up at the desk in Thamel and Gopi organised all the rest for us at very short notice. Great guiding and even evening entertainment with puzzles and tricks.John Edwards turnipedwards@virginmedia.com

Today and yesterday I had an amazing two day sight seeing tour, in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Patan and lots of other places, organized by ColdFeet! Unfortunately I could not finish my original trek to ME base camp because I got ill and had to get back. Waiting for my friends, the lovely people from ColdFeet helped me get back on my feet and made my trip - although slightly different as planned - one I won't ever forget en enjoyed very much! So... thanks!Ilona Zwolle, The Netherlands

What I like best about the team at ColdFeet is not only are they knowledgeable guides and leaders, but they have the ability to help you get under the skin and really experience this wonderful country. Not only did we did have a great time trekking the Annapurnas and rafting the Trisuli, but we left Nepal feeling we had made lifelong friends. Tom, South LondonTom email.tom.griffin@gmail.com

I am now in my final year at university in England but a few summers back I was lucky enough to be part of a trek adventure in the Everest region organised by ColdFeet. Gopi, who was in charge, lead 50 Wimbledon Explorer Scouts for roughly ten days. The trip was incredibly well organised and we all felt very safe under his and his support staffs' guidance. Not only this but because of Gopi's extensive experience in the region we were really able to make the most of everything that was around us. I would enthusiastically recommend ColdFeet to anyone looking to trek in Nepal, not least because aswell as being professional and reliable all the staff at ColdFeet are friendly and do their upmost to make sure everyone really has fun. I look forward to any opportunity to be in Nepal with ColdFeet again. Oliver Young London
