Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu
Upon arriving in Kathmandu (Tribhuvan International Airport), a Cold Feet representative will meet you and help you transfer to your hotel by private bus. Enjoy a free evening to explore Kathmandu and recover from your jet-lag. Meet the Cold Feet staff during a short pre-tour briefing before dinner.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
A full-day guided tour around Kathmandu city's historical and cultural landmarks. Visit Bouddhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple, the most important sites of Buddhism and Hinduism in Nepal. Catch the playful antics of the monkeys and beautiful city views at Swayambunath temple. Get lost in Kathmandu's old city bazaars, public squares, and former royal palaces at Durbar Square.
Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla, and trek to Phakding (2610m/3½ hours)
Early in the morning, we fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2810 m). The flight takes about 30-40 minutes to reach at Lukla. Then, we have to make the final preparations for the trekking. From Lukla, we have to trek downhill to Phakding (2610m). In the evening, if we have time, we will explore around the Buddhist monasteries and monuments. We will stay overnight at lodge at Phakding.
Day 04: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m/6 hours)
Today is going to be the challenging day for us. Following the Dudh Koshi river, the trail gently starts to rise though rhododendron and magnolia forests with giant fir trees to the village of Jorsalle. Jorsalle is our Sagarmatha National Park entry point, where we have to show our trekking permits and TIMS. After a brief stop-over for lunch, the climb proceeds towards Namche Bazaar. Passing through the Sagarmatha National Park area, we will reach at Namche Bazaar finally. Namche bazaar is a delightful mountain town and so-called ‘Sherpa Capital’ of Solukhumbu.
Day 05: Trek from Namche to Kenjuma via Khumjung
Today, we make an early start to walk up to Everest View Hotel to see the wonderful views of Mount Everest, Amadablam, Tabuche, Thamserku, Kusum Khangru and other mountains. After having a cup of tea at Everest View Hotel, we then continue our trek to Khumjung to explore monastery with Yeti scalps. After having lunch at Khumjung, we trek another an hour downhill to reach Kenjuma, where we will stay overnight.
Day 06: Trek from Kenjuma to Tyangboche
We start our trek in the morning from Kenjuma. Our trail then goes downhill towards Phungi Tanga. After reaching at Phungi Tanga, we have our lunch in the teahouse situated nearby the confluence of two rivers. Then, we climb uphill around 2 hours to finally reach at Tyangboche which is the highest monastery in the world. At Tengboche monastery, you can participate with monks for the prayers and chanting. From Tyangboche, we can have the magnificent views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nupse, Amadablam, Thamseru and Khantega.
Day 07: Trek back from Tyangboche to Namche
Today, from Tyangboche, we stroll back to Namche following the same route we came by. We stay at hotel in Namche tonight.
Day 08: Trek from Namche to Lukla (2840m/6-7 hours)
After breakfast in the early morning, the trail goes down through forest with pine, rhododendron, Jupiter, and some few magnolia and birch trees with a great memory after crossing the highest suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River. Then, we reach to our final check point at Jorsalle. After an hour and half, we reach at Phakding for our lunch. After 3 hours of trekking we will reach at Lukla. In the evening, you will have the farewell dinner party with Sherpas and Guides.
Day 09: Fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla
Today, we will fly to Kathmandu from Lukla. After arriving in Kathmandu, you will have time to shop around or explore Kathmandu Durbar Square in the remaining time. You will enjoy your final farewell dinner in Kathmandu with Guides and Company members.
Day 10: Final Departure from Kathmandu
A Cold Feet representative will accompany you to the airport to catch your returning flight. We hope to see you again soon!
