Everest in Close-Up Trek will provide you an excellent opportunity to see an eyeful view of the Mount Everest at close range. This trek is considered as an alternative trek to the traditional Everest Base Camp Trek.
You will for sure be enjoying one of the remarkable features of this trek and that is the very attractive view of tremendous ice ridge between Cho Oyu and Gyachung mountains located in the Khumbu region. And this trek is going to be an extraordinary experience and also worthy in a sense that it offers you an ample opportunity to explore the amazing destination and its impressive sight which of course is beyond your imagination.
Well, Lukla will be our initiation point for the trek and one thing is: it's worthy to start trek form Lukla for those who have shortage of time. And it is because Lukla is the main gateway to access the Everest and main other high mountains. You will be cherishing your heart-thrilled memories by observing the dramatic views of sky-kissing peaks which are situated in Everest Region along with the awesome Gokyo Lake.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your Arrival in Kathmandu, our representative will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to hotel. Overnight, stay at hotel. Free afternoon/evening
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu and Preparation for trip
After breakfast, enjoy a pleasant morning walk and visit to the ancient Swayambhunath, which is a fascinating blend of Hindu and Buddhist religions. From the top you can see the surrounding Kathmandu Valley. Then visit Pashupatinath, the most important Hindu temple in Nepal. After lunch, visit the famous Durbar Square in Kathmandu. In the evening, we will have a welcome dinner and a chance for you to view traditional Nepali dancing.
Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding 
Early in the morning, we fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2810 m). The flight takes about 30-40 minutes to reach at Lukla. Then, we have to make the final preparations for the trekking.  From Lukla, we have to trek downhill to Phakding (2610m). In the evening, if we have time, we will explore around the Buddhist monasteries and monuments. We will stay overnight at lodge at Phakding. 
Day 04: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar
Today is going to be the challenging day for us.  Following the Dudh Koshi river, the trail gently starts to rise though rhododendron and magnolia forests with giant fir trees to the village of Jorsalle. Jorsalle is our Sagarmatha National Park entry point, where we have to show our trekking permits and TIMS. After a brief stop-over for lunch, the climb proceeds towards Namche Bazaar. Passing through the Sagarmatha National Park area, we will reach at Namche Bazaar finally. Namche bazaar is a delightful mountain town and so-called ‘Sherpa Capital’ of Solukhumbu.
Day 05: Acclimatization day at Namche 
Today will be Acclimatization day in Namche. Explore this fascinating town, visit the nearby museum or take a day hike to the Everest View hotel for great views of Everest and Ama Dablam.
Day 06: Trek from Namche to Phortse Thanga (3680m)
After breakfast, we start our trek with pleasant walk trail through the forest with magnificent view of mountains until Kenjoma and the trail goes uphill towards Mung Danda for lunch overlooking the views of Amadablam, Khangteka, Thamserku, Kurum Khangru and also Kongde and Kongde-Ri. After lunch, we will be heading down to the riverside teahouse for our overnight stay at Phortse Thanga. 
Day 07: Trek from Phortse Thanga to Dole (4090m/ 5 hours)
After having breakfast in the morning, we leave Phortse Thanga and head for Dole. Along the way, you will be seeing beautiful birds like Himalayan Munal, Lama Gaya, various vultures and other wild animals like Himalayan Thar, Musk Deer, Yak and so on. Finally we will reach our today’s destination Dole. 
Day 08: Trek from Dole to Machhermo (4410m)
We make an early start from Dole today. Our trek today is not going to be that strenuous but it the beauty of nature is amazingly spectacular. After five hours of walk, we will reach at Machhermo. There’s a legend about Machhermo that, in 1974, it’s been said that, Yeti has killed 3 yaks and attacked a Sherpa woman while she was collecting the Yak dung for firewood. You will be hearing the stories from our Sherpas and Guides. 
Day 09: Trek from Machhermo to Gokyo (4750m/5 hours)
Early in the morning after having our breakfast at Machhermo, we move onwards along the various lakes on the way. We then continue our trek gradually uphill to Gokyo for our lunch. We stay there overnight. 
Day 10: Exploration Day at Gokyo
We will be hiking up to Gokyo Ri for our ultimate goal to see the wonderful views of Himalayas including Mount Everest. If the weather is nice, you can spend few hours at the top of Gokyo Ri because we have enough time to enjoy the glory of Himalayas.
Day 11: Trek from Gokyo to Thang Nak (4450m/4 hours)
Today, we will be starting our trek to Thang Nak. After our breakfast, we follow the trail to the same way little back and then walk on the moving glacier called Nangpa. The best time to do this trek is October through May. The excitement of this glacier walk is that you can hear the sound of glacial movement. Finally we reach at our destination Thang Nak, where we will stay overnight.  
Day 12: Trek from Thang Nak to Phortse (3680m/6 hours)
We make an early start today after having our breakfast at Thang Nak. Our destination for today will be Phortse. To reach there, we follow the trail through riverside on the other side of Machhermo and Dole. After about 6 hours walk, we reach at Phortse. You can see quite large village settlements in Phortse. We stay there overnight at Guest House. 
Day 13: Trek from Phortse to Namche 
We start our pleasant walk downhill for about 1 hour from Phortse which will bring us to Phortse Thanga. We then walk uphill about 1½ hours to reach the Mung Danda. After that, we follow the trail towards Kenjoma, which will take around extra one hour. Further 1 hours walk will take us to Namche, where you will have your free for washing and cleaning. We stay overnight in the hotel at Namche. 
Day 14: Trek from Namche to Lukla (2840m/6-7 hours)
After breakfast in the early morning, the trail goes down through forest with pine, rhododendron, Jupiter, and some few magnolia and birch trees with a great memory after crossing the highest suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River. Then, we reach to our final check point at Jorsalle. After an hour and half, we reach at Phakding for our lunch. After 3 hours of trekking we will reach at Lukla. In the evening, you will have the farewell dinner party with Sherpas and Guides.
Day 15: Fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla
Today, we will fly to Kathmandu from Lukla. After arriving in Kathmandu, you will have time to shop around or explore Kathmandu Durbar Square in the remaining time. You will enjoy your final farewell dinner in Kathmandu with Guides and Company members.
Day 16: Final departure from Kathmandu
A Cold Feet representative will accompany you to the airport to catch your returning flight. We hope to see you again soon!

I am now in my final year at university in England but a few summers back I was lucky enough to be part of a trek adventure in the Everest region organised by ColdFeet. Gopi, who was in charge, lead 50 Wimbledon Explorer Scouts for roughly ten days. The trip was incredibly well organised and we all felt very safe under his and his support staffs' guidance.
